The Cottars 1920’s Hotel is located in the Maasai Mara Natural Reserve in Kenya. The hotel is an historical eco lodge for guests who are in the region for a safari.

The hotel was founded by the Cottars family and during its more than ninety years of existence has provided guests and visitors the opportunity to discover the natural reserve and region by safaris. The lodge is located on a large territory inside the natural reserve.

Each suite is located inside a large tent which is equipped with all the necessary amenities. Each tent has large double bed and a private bathroom and is decorated with wooden furniture.

There are four Luxury Suites and six Honeymoon Suites. Each suite is located inside the large white canvas tent which is decorated with antique twenties furniture and has a separate closet. Price varies between 360€ per person per night during low season and 631€ per person per night during high season.

Extras.

The hotel offers its guests several services. There is a beauty salon where guests will be able to enjoy a massage and have a manicure and a pedicure. There is a concierge service.

Events.

This safari camp offers guests the opportunity to feel like the first intrepid explorers who came to this region. The hotel has a large territory and is built in a traditional way.

The hotel has some of the country’s most famed safari guides. Guests will be able to enjoy safaris in a 4×4 vehicle and in antique cars, wooden vintage cars that were used during the first safari tours.

Location.

This family business has spent more than ninety years offering tailored safaris and expertly guided tours for its guests. The hotel offers shorter safaris for those who want to explore the region at their own pace.

The hotel offers excursions and tours that can be adapted individually for each traveller. Guests will be able to engage in day and night safaris, explore the local region and learn to hunt. During their stay guests will have the opportunity to see elephants, giraffes, impalas and zebras, and many other animals. Guests will be able to see and hunt the Big Five, the buffalo, elephant, rhinoceros, lion and leopard.

Cottards 1920’s is located in the south east of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. The Serengeti National Park and the Loliondo Reserve are located nearby, and there are several traditional Purko Maasai vilalges in the region. One of the most famous itineraries starts at Campi Ya Kanzi, an eco lodge near the Kilimanjaro, and guides guests around the Maasai Mara, a great ecosystem known for its large cats and other animals.
