The Nesle Hotel is a small hotel in Paris, France. This charming piece of work has several rooms designed in different ways, where some of the rooms have a distinctly bohemian atmosphere around them while others have a very informal and modern touch, all of them decorated with impressive murals representing past centuries.
This hotel is located in the exact spot where the Nesle Tower stood in Saint Germain, one of the historical neighbourhoods of Paris. Legend says that there used to be two towers in the area, both of them constructed with the purpose of protecting Paris, although at that time the historical Nesle Tower was known as the Hamelin Tower.
This curious hotel has 20 rooms decorated according to the traditional style of different countries and different eras. All rooms have a double bed, a sink and either a shared or an individual bathroom. The decorations in each room are unique. Price per person per night varies between 55 and 65€, while price per double room is between 75 and 100€ per night. An extra bed costs around 12€ per night.
The hotel has several types of rooms, and each room has its own style, design and atmosphere coupled with luxurious decorations. The Antinéa Room is painted like a deserted landscape, with a double bed under an elaborate mural representing the everyday lives of the Ancient Egyptians, and has beautiful views towards the city. The Orientalisme Room is a room decorated in yellow and blue hues, and its walls are covered in painted tiles representing the day to day life in the East as it was centuries ago.
The Champollion Room has two beds, light curtains and hand crafted wooden furniture which gives the room a classic touch. The Coloniale room has a large four poster bed and is decorated with an enormous mural depicting both the conquistadores and the natives in the Americas, while the light coloured antique furniture adds an authenticity touch to the room.
The Héloïse Room is a bright, jovial room decorated in lively colours with intricate murals on the walls, while the Mélanie Room has a large chimney and a collection of old photographs and drawings on top of the lace covered furniture. The Notre Dame de Paris Room is a room with blue walls, lively murals with images of Paris and many antique mirrors and chandeliers. The Molière Room also has a chimney, subtle decorations and antique furniture covered in dark blue and red textiles, as well as extremely meticulous murals.
One of the most exclusive and delicious rooms at this hotel is the La Bonbonnière Room. The décor in this room is a fusion between a chocolate shop and a jewellery box, full of mirrors and ornaments, with light painted views and chocolate decorations, as well as a collection of elaborate old posters advertising the best bonbons in Paris. La Chaumière is one of the largest rooms at the hotel, and has a distinctive bohemian touch, decorated as a curious holiday home full of posters, drawings and portraits hanging on the walls.
This hotel is full of colours, murals and different styles. It even has its own Hammam, the ideal place where guests will be able to relax after a fulfilling day spent cruising around the romantic streets of Paris. The hotel also has its own small garden, a good place where to watch the sunset from.
The Nesle Hotel is located in one of the best neighbourhoods in the city, near the most famed coffee shops and restaurants where visitors will be able to savour the real croissants and other traditional foods from the French cuisine. The Tower is near one of the banks of the river Seine, opposite the Louvre. Nearby, guests will be able to visit several famous landmarks, such as the Notre Dame and the many theatres and museums in the city.
