The Evesham Hotel is a curious and charming hotel located in Worcestershire, in England. This hotel is said to be one of the most family friendly hotels in the country, and is famous for its nice decorations, its natural location and it’s main theme, the teddy bears.

The hotel has 34 rooms which may vary according to type and size of room. All rooms do have certain standard characteristics in common, such as a double bed, a private bathroom, a safe, and breathtaking views towards the natural panorama that can be enjoyed from all the rooms at the hotel.

The hotel is the ideal accommodation choice for those who travel with their families, since there are several types of rooms which can accommodate everyone from the eldest granny to the smallest child. The main theme of this hotel are bears. The halls, the lobby and all the rooms are filled with images of bears, original designer furniture or decorations featuring bears. Even the room keys have a large bear shaped key ring, and all rooms have an individual name which alludes to the world of bears and teddy bears. The hotel also sells the bear shaped key rings and other bear memorabilia, and part of the money goes to funds and organizations which support ill children.

The hotel has several types of rooms. All rooms have either an individual or a double bed, a private bathroom with all the necessary amenities and temperature control. The rooms also have basic technologies such as television sets, portable radios, refrigerators, alarm clocks, hair dryers, an iron with an ironing board, telephones and free Internet access. The hotel also provides their guests with small but useful details such as tea, coffee and hot chocolate machines in all rooms, a welcome tray with pastries and biscuits, as well as basic hygiene products such as shampoo, a relaxing shower gel, bubble bath, a curious traditional rubber duck, some board games and an enormous teddy bear.

There are ten guest rooms on the ground floor. Other rooms can be found at the Mulberry Cottage, a small cottage with access for people with disabilities and several rooms, an ideal choice for large families. The Mulberry Cottage has a master bedroom with a large double bed and two smaller double rooms with twin beds, as well as several bathrooms and a comfortable living and dining room.

Price per night depends on the type of room one chooses to stay at, whether they are normal rooms or cottage rooms and, of course, the dates. The smaller individual rooms cost around 82€ per night. Larger individual rooms can cost around 94€ per night. A double room with a double bed or a double room with two twin beds can cost around 136€ per night. The Family Suite, the largest room at the hotel, costs around 179€ per night. If guests want to stay at one of the rooms at the Mulberry Cottage, they must add 15% to the price of the standard rooms. If a child stays in the same room as their parents, the price per child is 2.26€ times the child’s age. The prices are higher during bank holidays and other festivities.

The hotel has its own restaurant, the Cedar Restaurant, which offers many different options for main courses, several menus and a wide range of delicious desserts. The restaurant specializes in many diverse courses and the menu changes every week, offering more variety. There are special menus for children and vegetarians.

The Evesham Hotel is also well known for its impressive wine menu. The hotel differs from many others in this aspect, since it does not offer wines from France or Germany, but instead offers wines from regions such as Italy, Algeria, Georgia or Ireland. This hotel is the right place for those who indulge in wine tasting and who enjoy trying and savouring the flavours from other parts of the world. The wine cellar is full of different types of wines, and the guests will also be able to savour and taste the oldest wines, the best liquors, different types of whisky, as well as many varieties of brandy and rums.

The hotel holds many awards. It has won awards for the most originally presented wine menu, for having the best bathrooms and holds many other titles. The hotel itself is located in a large building which dates from the 1540’s. However, part of the building was reconstructed in 1810, and some areas of the historic hotel are slightly more modern than others.

The hotel has a large territory which can be observed from the guest rooms. The lush grounds hold a swimming pool and guests can relax in the large garden. Many leisure activities are organized in the common rooms. The hotel can also organize conference meetings or important events for up to 10 or 12 people upon request.

The hotel is only a couple of hours away from the most important cities in the UK, including London, Manchester or Liverpool. The hotel is located less than an hour away from Bristol and Cardiff. The nearby cities of Birmingham and Worcester are worth a day trip visit. Hotel guests will also have the opportunity to visit Stratford Upon Avon, where William Shakespeare was born, as well as the famous Cheltenham Spa.
