The Dotonbori hotel is a magnificent hotel located in Osaka, Japan. The hotel never fails to surprise anyone since even its façade is highly unusual, decorated with several giant statues representing heads.

Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am and costs around 8€ per person. This breakfast includes specialities from all over the world, with a large buffet full of western food and another one full of the more traditional, typical Japanese goods. Guests will be able to taste a real dim sum, dozens of different rice varieties and rice based dishes, authentic miso soup, a grand selection of fish and sea food, many types of salads, freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and many drinks.

The Les Roulottes Hotel is located in France. This curious hotel has several suites in different recently remodelled wagons and has a gypsy flair to it.

The Les Roulottes Hotel can be found in Les Ardillats, a small region near Lyon, in France. This region has many hills and mountains, and all wagons therefore have views towards the nature.

The hotel itself is not a traditional building, but a complex made up from three wagons which used to belong to a gypsy family decades ago. Each wagon is designed in a different way and has a different theme. All wagons have a double bed as well as an array of furniture and decorations in an Art Nouveau style. There is even a small decorative chimney in each of the wagons. The walls are decorated with wine coloured brocade, with purple furniture and lace curtains. The walls are full of different ornaments and old pictures of the previous owners of the wagons. The bathrooms and the dining room can be found in the adjacent main building.

The Roulotte des Amoureux is the most romantic suite at the hotel. The wagon itself dates from the year 1950 and can accommodate a maximum of two people. The wagon is furnished with wooden furniture, red carpets and decorations and many mirrors. Price is around 60€ per night, and includes an additional breakfast, although heating costs are an extra 3€ per day.

The Roulotte des Manèges is also known as the Carousel Caravan, and is one of the most ancient wagons. The wagon was first built in 1920 and during decades it travelled with local fairs across northern France. The wagon has a master bedroom and a separate living room. Price is around 60€ per night for two people, with an extra 8€ for one child and 11€ for the second child, and 5€ per day to cover the heating costs. Breakfast is included in the price.

The Roulotte des Étoiles is the most exotic of the wagons. The wagon, with a double bed and a colourful décor, has a maximum capacity for two people and its design is reminiscent of the traditional Indian culture. Price is also 60€ per night, with an extra 5€ for the heating. Breakfast is included.

This wagon hotel is open during the warmer months, from April until the end of October. The building of a new guest room is planned for the next season.

Each one of the wagons has peaceful views towards the nearby hills and mountains. The place is well known for its fresh air as well as its comfortable and relaxing surroundings. Guests will be able to interact with the horses and sheep who graze near the hotel, as well as the many cats and dogs that live on the hotel territory.

Others say that a German prince has also decided to make this hotel his spiritual home after throwing himself out of a window, while many affirm that they saw Napoleon III walking across some of the hallways. Historically, room 333 is the most haunted room at the hotel, where several ghosts have been sighted and several paranormal happenings have been known to occur.

The Crane Hotel in Harlingen is an original hotel in an impressive industrial crane. The hotel, located in Harlingen in Holland, is the second of the three ingenious hotels set up in the area.

The original crane was reconstructed and refurbished, while the old external staircase was substituted by an elevator to increase the comfort of the hotel. Meanwhile, the small control room was soon transformed into a luxurious and modern Crane Hotel room.
