Original Hotels

The Ice House Hotel is located in the viallge of Ballina in Ireland. The hotel has rooms with large windows that have views towards the river.

Rooms.

The rooms at this hotel are not numbered. The 25 rooms and 7 suites have individual decorations and themes. All hotel rooms have large double beds and a bathroom with a shower. Each room has floor to ceiling windows.

Guests are offered a bottle of Prosecco that can be enjoyed in the bathtub upon arrival. Rooms are decorated with fresh flowers and there is a selection of DVDs for guests. Each bathroom has a separate bathtub and shower. There is a flat screen television set and Internet access in all rooms. Price varies between 80 and 260€ per night.

The Deluxe rooms are designer rooms and each one of them is decorated in one colour. Each room has floor to ceiling windows that have views towards the river. The bathrooms have polished stone toilets. Next to that guests will find a separate bathtub and a shower.

The hotel’s themed suites are the Bartra, Moy and Ox suites. These suites have a more traditional design and are decorated with antiques. Each suite has a large double bed, a desk and a designer chair. The bathrooms have cascade showers and curvy toilets. The bathtubs are made from cedar wood.

The Riverside suites are large suites with a double rooms and a living room. These suites have floor-to-ceiling windows with views towards the Moy river. Each suite has a private balcony from where the river can be seen. Each room is painted in one colour, and no rooms share the same decorations. The bathrooms have a separate bathtub and shower.

Restaurant.

The hotel’s main restaurant is Pier, where local dishes accompanied by a selection of wines are served. The restaurant’s decoration is similar to that of a traditional banquet room, with round tables covered in white tablecloth.

There is a bar next to the restaurant. The restaurant has access to a large terrace filled with stone tables where guests will be able to enjoy views towards the river. A variety of coctails are served at the bar and on the terrace.

The Rosette Restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows and is located on the ground level of the hotel. This restaurant is used for dinners, during which visitors will be able to enjoy views of the starry sky.

The hotel is located inside an ancient, three-floor mansion. THe Chill Spa is located on the ground floor and offers a variaty of massages and treatments. The spa has a steam room. Several jacuzzis can be found outside the spa.

The hotel is decorated in shades of white and still has antique, wooden decorations that used to belong to the mansion. The lobby is decorated with crystal chandeliers.

Events.

The hotel has several conference rooms that can be adapted to a variety of events. Private banquers and conferences can be celebrated at the hotel.

The hotel’s restaurant can host private dinners. The hotel can organize dinners for large groups.

Location.

The hotel is located in the banks of the Moy river, near the town of Ballina. Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of water sports on the river Moy.

There are many activities for guests near the hotel. Guests can rent bicycles and surf in County Mayo. There are several golf clubs a short distance away. Guests who want to explore the region can take a picnic basket provided by the hotel and take a tour around the moors.
