Original Hotels

The Arena Hotel is located in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. The hotel’s historical building used to be a church that later transformed into an orphanage, in a residence for third age citizens and later on into a hostel.

Restaurant.

The coffee shop has access to the garden, which is decorated like a lounge with chairs and cushions where guests can sit and enjoy their food and drink.

Conferences.

The hotel is a business oriented hotel. Corporate events and meetings of up to 1200 people can take place at the hotel. The hotel can coordinate and organize events according to the guest’s needs.

There are small and large conferences rooms, and each one is decorated in a different style. The conference rooms are the Garden Hall, Convent Hall, the Church Hall and the Meeting Room. During the summer months events can take place on the terrace.

Location.

The hotel is located in a building built in 1800 that has been recently remodelled. The building was first built as a church, and later on became a nursing home, then St. Elizabeth orphanage and then a hostel. The interior design of the hotel reflects its history and its new amenities have been integrated in the historical design. Several Dutch designers have participated in the hotel’s décor, which has light wooden floors, high ceilings and white walls.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of the city close to the city center. The city’s central station that communicates the city with the rest of the country and the airport is only a short walk away. The Anna Frank Museum, the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum are conveniently located less than four kilometres away from the hotel. Each room is decorated in a traditional Ottoman style, and each room has a private patio with views towards the plains.

There is a large patio with a lounge where guests can relax while sitting on Turkish cushions placed in front of the fireplace. The hotel’s restaurant is a large room with a terrace, and guests can enjoy their traditional Turkish meals inside and outside. The restaurant has another terrace on the roof where guests can enjoy candle lit dinners with views towards the fairy chimneys.

Events.

The hotel’s conference hall is located inside the main stone building. The conference hall is equipped with audiovisual equipment, a large desk and several chairs.

In the stone mansion there is a music room with a large collection of CD’s and a sound system. In another hall guests will find a computer with wireless Internet access. Another hall has a home cinema with a collection of DVDs.

Location.

The hotel is located near the village of Urgup and is carved directly into the mountain. Guests who stay at this hotel can explore the Cappadocia region, known for its underground cities, cavernous churches hidden in mountains and caves.

The hotel can arrange transport from and to the Kayseri and Nevsehir airports. Tours around the Cappadocia region can be organized. Guests can visit the many ancient caves located a short distance away from the hotel.

Stables.

The hotel has its own stables where guests can leave their horses and practice horse riding while exploring the region on horse. There is a pool with a view. Smoking is not allowed at the hotel.

Location.

The mansion is located in a 185 acre territory a short distance away from Urbino. Historically this was the place where the Dukes of Montefeltro lived, and it was this family that planted the oak trees that line the hotel’s grounds. This ecological hotel is powered by solar panels and alternative energy sources.

The hotel has views towards the countryside and the hills. Guests can enjoy horse riding and visit the nearby villages of San Leo, Mondavio and Piobbico on horse, and there are several tours around the Gola del Furlo Natural Reserve. Villas.

The hotel is made up of eleven villas, where each villa is built in a traditional style and has several bedrooms, bathrooms and a butler. Price includes accommodation and three meals.

Each villa has a main bedroom and a guest bedroom, a marble bathroom and traditional hand made decorations from the Seychelles and Africa. The villas are decorated with wood, glass and stone. All rooms have air conditioning and traditional punkah punkah fans.

The main bedroom has a walk in closet and a library corner with a desk and chair. The bathroom is made of marble and has a separate WC, two sinks, an interior shower and an exterior shower. The first ten villas are located next to Anse d’Est beach. Villa 11, known as the North Island Villa, is the hotel’s largest cabin and is located next to the northern tip of the beach and the Takamaka forest.

Restaurant.

The hotel’s restaurant offers a personalized service for each guest. The hotel can cater for guests who have food allergies and intolerances. Each meal is made of fresh local ingredients and guests will be able to enjoy their meals with a wine from the wine menu.

The traditionally decorated bar and the lounge area have views towards the mountains and the sea. There is a small pond next to the wine cellar, which can be rented for private events.

Activities.

The Pioneer Suite offers guests a new concept. This suite is a party suite in a party centered hotel. The walls are thick and soundproof and the suite is equipped with the latest Pioneer sound system. Swimming pools.

The hotel has several pools and sun decks where guests can relax in Balinese hammocks and Jacuzzis. One of the swimming pools is oval shaped and another one looks like a river that flows through the hotel. Restaurant.

The hotel’s restaurant offers three daily meals made from local ingredients. The ingredients used are fresh and are brought from Puerto Vallarta each morning. Guests will be able to taste Mexican dishes and international cuisine. The hotel can prepare picnic baskets for guests who want to spend a day exploring the region.

The hotel has a bar with a terrace where guests can enjoy cocktails and wine while watching the sunset. There is a wide range of tequilas.

Building the hotel.

Part of this hotel was built taking in account the caves and other natural formations of the region. The doors and windows have been adapted to the rock formations, and the hotel’s natural staircase is the result of years of erosion. The hotel has ten suites. The rooms are all different because they were built following the outline of the rock’s natural structure. Each room has a double bed, a traditional regional décor and a bathroom.

All the rooms have a flat screen television set with hundreds of channels from all over the world, and are equipped with CD and DVD players, a radio, climate control and kitchenettes and fridges. Guests will be able to enjoy free WiFi and will have free access to laptops. Each room is provided with complimentary bottles of water, reading material and free coffee and tea. Some of the suites can be converted into connecting rooms to accommodate families travelling together. The connected suites can accommodate up to six people. These suites have a master bedroom with a bathroom and a living room with a kitchen and a terrace, while other suites can have two or three bedrooms with their corresponding bathrooms.

The Fantasy Cave suite is the largest suite at the hotel and has a master bedroom and a separate living room with a sofa bed inside one of the caves. There is a kitchen and a bathroom with a claw foot bathtub and separate shower. The suite has a private terrace and access to the common terrace.

The Family Cave Suite can accommodate up to four people. There are two bathrooms near the entrance, and down a flight of steps guests will find the master bedroom, an extra bedroom with gilded ceilings, a living room with a kitchen and a private terrace.

The Stonecutters suite is built to resemble a traditional Cappadocian villa. There is a master bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower and a small garden with flowers. The suite has access towards a semiprivate terrace with views towards the region.

The Twin Arch is a suite with a large bedroom with a bathroom and a living room with a guest bathroom. There is a kitchen with a terrace and a private garden.

The Labyrinth suite is a stone suite. The master bedroom is a large cave with a bathroom adapted to the crevices in the rock. There is a guest bedroom with bathroom which is connected to the living room. The suite has several terraces.

The Winepress suite is located above the ancient wine press. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, and the guest bedroom has a double bed directly above the wine press. The bathroom is connected to the kitchen and the living room, from where guests can access the semiprivate terrace.

The Volcano Stone Cave is a dark coloured suite since it is located near a layer of volcanic rock. Near the kitchen guests will find the bedroom with a domed ceiling, the living room and the bathroom. Behind one of the ancient doors there is a previously hidden tunnel. This tunnel is a XVIIth century, 16 kilometer long water tunnel inside the volcanic rock.

The Colorband Cave is a colourful suite. The volcanic rock in tis suite is filled with minerals which create several colourful hues reflected in the bathroom, the bedroom and the living room.

The Hillside Suite is located on one side of the hill where the hotel is located. This suite has a bedroom with a bathroom and a living room with a private terrace and a private entrance.

Breakfasts, halls and terraces.

Guests who stay at the hotel will have access to the hotel’s cafeteria. The hotel provides guests with complimentary continental breakfasts made from local products. Other common areas include a home cinema room, an event hall with a piano, a Turkish hall and several terraces with views towards the natural structures formed centuries ago.
