The Traders Hotel is a hotel that follows a Confucianism design and is located in Hong Kong. The hotel has open spaces and is decorated in shades of white with red furniture.

Rooms.

The hotel is decorated in white. It has a minimalist décor, following the lines of Confucianism. The common areas have furniture is several colours and shapes.

There are 280 rooms and suites at the hotel. All rooms have a functional design with LCD televisions, Internet access and views towards the city, the harbour and the mountains. Three of the rooms are adapted for people with mobility issues. A total of 84 rooms are interconnecting rooms that can form family rooms.

The 95 Traders rooms are rooms for members of the Traders Club. These rooms can have views towards the harbour and the mountains. Guests who stay in these rooms will be able to enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the Traders Lounge.

Restaurant.

Pool.

The hotel’s pool is known for its views towards the city. The 16 meter long swimming pool is located on one of the hotel’s top floors, and has views towards Victoria Harbour and towards the colonial buildings and skyscrapers of the city.

The gym is located under the swimming pool and has high ceilings. There are several treadmills and weights, and the large windows have views towards the harbour and the city.

Events.

The hotel can organize large events, accommodate all participants and provide the catering service. There are several halls equipped with audiovisual equipment where guests can organize banquets and conferences for up to 50 people. The hotel offers its own catering service and can offer translators.

Location.

The hotel is located in the West District, a historic neighbourhood near the city centre. The neighbourhood is known for the many century old shops dedicated to calligraphy. A short distance away from the hotel guests will find the city’s main landmarks and monuments, and Victoria Harbour is only a short walk away.

Rooms and prices.

There is a total of 17 rooms at the hotel. Each room is a double room with its own bathroom and an individual décor. There are rooms decorated with designs typical of a country or a region, such as Congo, Japan, Kenya and Vietnam. Tribal masks and country maps decorate the walls of each room. These rooms cost 135€ per night.

There are several Deluxe rooms which can either have a bathroom with a bathtub or a bathroom with a jacuzzi for two. The India Room has several statues of Ganesha and Shiva. The Bali room is decorated with hand crafted furniture and wooden crafts on the walls. The Tahiti room is made of bamboo and decorated with images of tropical birds. The Suites have a kingsize bed, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and a shower, a separate living room and a balcony. There are several suites, such as the India Suite and the Silk Road Suite. The Belgian suite is a family room with two bedrooms and a living room that has an area for prams, and can accommodate up to five people. Price is 200€ per night in a suite and 240€ per night in a family suite.

Breakfast.

Guests will be able enjoy a buffet breakfast. The buffet serves cold meats, soups, several types of freshly baked bread and pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, cocoa and tea.

Extra services.

In the lobby guests will be able to buy theatre tickets and tickets for guided tours around the city. The is WiFi available for guests and an Internet corner with computers and photocopying machines which is open all day.

Events.

The hotel can organize celebrations and events. Guests will be able to rent one of the several halls at the hotel, and the hotel can provide a catering service for the event, search for a photographer and transport the guests from the hotel to the city.

Location.

Building the hotel.

Part of this hotel was built taking in account the caves and other natural formations of the region. The doors and windows have been adapted to the rock formations, and the hotel’s natural staircase is the result of years of erosion. Like many of the local structures, the hotel was built with fairy chimneys which are considered one of the region’s top tourist attractions. The interior design of the hotel reflects the country’s cultural aspects, with thick red carpets covering the floor, Ottoman style furniture and lace curtains.

Suites.

The hotel has ten suites. The rooms are all different because they were built following the outline of the rock’s natural structure. Each room has a double bed, a traditional regional décor and a bathroom.

All the rooms have a flat screen television set with hundreds of channels from all over the world, and are equipped with CD and DVD players, a radio, climate control and kitchenettes and fridges. Guests will be able to enjoy free WiFi and will have free access to laptops. Each room is provided with complimentary bottles of water, reading material and free coffee and tea. Price varies depending on the suite and the season, and the minimum price is of 80€ per room per night.

Some of the suites can be converted into connecting rooms to accommodate families travelling together. The connected suites can accommodate up to six people. The Labyrinth suite is a stone suite. The master bedroom is a large cave with a bathroom adapted to the crevices in the rock. There is a guest bedroom with bathroom which is connected to the living room. The suite has several terraces.

The Winepress suite is located above the ancient wine press. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, and the guest bedroom has a double bed directly above the wine press. The bathroom is connected to the kitchen and the living room, from where guests can access the semiprivate terrace.

The Volcano Stone Cave is a dark coloured suite since it is located near a layer of volcanic rock. Near the kitchen guests will find the bedroom with a domed ceiling, the living room and the bathroom. Behind one of the ancient doors there is a previously hidden tunnel. This tunnel is a XVIIth century, 16 kilometer long water tunnel inside the volcanic rock.

The Colorband Cave is a colourful suite. The volcanic rock in tis suite is filled with minerals which create several colourful hues reflected in the bathroom, the bedroom and the living room.

The Hillside Suite is located on one side of the hill where the hotel is located. This suite has a bedroom with a bathroom and a living room with a private terrace and a private entrance.

Breakfasts, halls and terraces.

Guests who stay at the hotel will have access to the hotel’s cafeteria. The hotel provides guests with complimentary continental breakfasts made from local products. Other common areas include a home cinema room, an event hall with a piano, a Turkish hall and several terraces with views towards the natural structures formed centuries ago.

The Re! Hotel is located in Singapore. This small boutique hotel has a clear retro style, with each room decorated by a different team of architects, artists and designers.

The Family Suites are family rooms with two bedrooms and a living room. The master bedroom has a queensize bed and the guest room has two twin beds. Price is more than 200€ per night.

The Themed Suites are the hotel’s trademark accommodation. Each one of these themed suites is decorated in shades of either silver, gold or bronze. Each suite has a round kingsize bed and an LCD television set. Price is around 245€ per night.

Spa.

On the ground floor of the hotel guests will find the Re!Fresh, a spa where guests can enjoy relaxing massages, manicure and pedicure. Next to the spa is the gym, known as the Re!Charge.

Conference Rooms.

There is a large conference room, the Re!Union hall, which can accommodate up to 100 people. Nearby there are two meeting rooms, the Re!Call and Re!Tune, both of them with the latest audiovisual equipment and a capacity of up to 20 people. The Re!Connect business centre has several computers, fax machines and photocopying machines.

Restaurant.

The hotel’s restaurant, the Re!Fill, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the second floor of the hotel is the Re!Wine, a wine cellar with views towards Pearl Hill Park.

The Re!Joice is a large terrace located under a canopy where guests can celebrate events such as weddings and large conferences. There are fifty tables with a capacity for ten people around each table.

Location.

The hotel offers several extra services to their guests, such as transport to and from the centre of the city. The hotel is located on Chin Swee Street, only a short distance away from Chinatown and Outram Park, places which are communicated with the rest of the city by several bus and metro lines. Orchard Street is located only a couple of blocks from the hotel, and some of the city’s finest places can be found there, such as bars, restaurants and shops. The airport is located only 20 minutes away from the hotel.

The Cube Hotel is located in three different cities in Austria and Switzerland. One of these hotels is located in Savognin, near the mountains and several ski resorts.

The Hotel.

From the outside the hotel looks like the product of a giant disco ball and a huge sugar cube. The Savognin Hotel has a large lounge area, its own spa, a bar and a grill restaurant.

Rooms and Prices.

Each one of the 76 rooms has a special area right near the entrance where guests can leave their skiing gear. The bed linen and pillows are hypoallergenic. All rooms in this cube shaped hotel have a functional design, a bedroom with a flat screen television set, a safe, luggage storage space and a bathroom with a hair dryer.

There are quadruple rooms designed for families. The Cube Suites are even more spacious, with a kingsize bed, a bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower and a living room with a sofa bed. Price is 129€ per night for a double room, and the price includes a ski pass.

Extra Services.

The room key does not only open the door to each guest’s room, but can be used to access some of the ski slopes. All Cube hotels are located near the ski lifts and the skiing resorts. Some of the extra services offered by the hotel are a late breakfast option which allows guests to enjoy breakfast in their rooms until three in the afternoon, and a late dinner at the buffet which lasts until ten in the evening. On the day of arrival and departure guests can use the changing rooms and the showers in the lobby, and there is a luggage room for those who want to enjoy their last hours on the slopes before leaving.

All the floors at the hotel are connected between them by special ramps that allow guests to carry their ski gear without much effort. The hotel has an advanced climate control system that makes sure that the ski gear and ski clothes dry in the least possible time without damaging the material.

The cubes are made from steel and glass. As soon as it gets dark the façade of each cube illuminates in a different colour. All cubes are connected by colourful hallways, and the common areas are located in these hallways. The common rooms have glass floors that light up and fireplaces, leather armchairs and sofas where guests can relax.

On the ground floor of the hotel guests will find the spa, several saunas, steam rooms, a gym and massage areas. One of the hotel’s largest common rooms has a climbing wall.

Restaurants.

In the basement guests will find the Cube Club, a disco bar where parties are organized every night. On the ground floor there is a terrace. The hotel has a buffet restaurant where guests will find a wide range of regional and international dishes. The snack bar is open 24 hours a day. The Cube Grill is an upscale restaurant where gourmet guests will be able to savour traditional dishes with views towards the mountains. The restaurant offers international cuisine and has a large wine list.

Conference Halls.

There are several conference halls at the hotels, and all can be rented for events and presentations. These conference rooms are equipped with modern audiovisual technologies, have natural light and are located near the reception. The maximum capacity is around 140 people. The bars and restaurants can be rented for larger events of up to 600 people. The hotel organizes all kinds of corporate and private events and can find the appropriate catering and decoration services.

Location.

The hotel is located in Savognin, in the Swiss canton of Grisones, and offers many activities for guests. Guests will be able to enjoy the many ski slopes located right outside the hotel, and practice sports such as ski, snowboard and snowmobiles. All skiing gear can be rented at the hotel. Other activities such as riding snowbikes, practising airboard and skifox are offered. Those who enjoy hikes and long walks in the mountains will find guide books in the lobby, and during the summer months guests can bathe in the Barnagn Lake.

The Treehotel is located in Harads, a small town in Sweden. As one can expect from its name, this hotel is formed by several tree houses, although all of these come with a twist.

About the hotel.

Before arrival guests will have to check in at the nearby guest house, Brittas Guesthouse, in Britta. This is the place where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, and guests will be able to enjoy the sauna and the spa. Britta’s restaurant is known for its local traditional food, typical of Northern Sweden. The Treehotel is located five minutes away.

The Treehouses.

The Treehotel is formed by six tree houses, and each tree house has at least one double room with a bathroom. Each tree house has its own theme and an individual décor.

The rooms are located between four and six metres above ground. Each cabin has between 15 and 30 square metres of space. In order to get to their rooms, guests will have to go up either a ramp, a staircase or a metal stair. Price is about 190€ per night for one person and can reach 488€ per night for a double room with extra beds.

Some rooms have two twin beds, while the larger tree houses, those considered as family tree houses, have three or four beds. Each cabin has a small living room. The bathrooms are ecological. The tree houses have large windows that allow in a lot of natural light.

The Bird’s Nest tree house is a contrast between its exterior and its interior design. The exterior resembles a giant bird’s nest. The tree house has circular windows between the branches. The inside of the tree house is modern and spacious, with a double bed and two twin beds with amenities.

To get to the Blue Cone room guests will have to go up a hill and climb an especially designed slope.  This tree house has a more traditional design and is made of wood, with windows styled as plastic domes. This tree house has two floors and can accommodate up to four people.

The Cabin is one of the highest cabins, with views towards the valley of the river Lule. This cabin, with curved edges, looks like a capsule and has a double bed and a terrace.

The Mirrorcube cabin is a large aluminium carcass covered by mirrors. The effect is not what one might expect, since the cabin reflects the trees around it, masking it. The mirrors are covered by an infra-red layer in order to stop animals and birds bumping into it. The large windows have views towards the valley. The inside of the cube has a double bed, a separate bathroom, a living room and a small terrace on the roof.

The cabin known as the UFO is a large flying saucer that seems to have just crashed from outer space and into the trees below. The entrance has a circular door and the interior is modern. This tree house has two floors and can accommodate up to four people.

The A Room With A View cabin has some of the best views towards the forest and towards the town of Harads. This cabin has a large bedroom, a bathroom and a dining and living room elevated at different levels. There is a terrace decorated with several pine trees on the rooftop. The interior of the tree house is covered by wooden panels which create a natural look.

The hotel is open all year round. Each cabin has heated floors, and the heating is turned on during the winter months. The energy used at the hotel comes from alternative ecological resources.

Extras.

The hotel has its own sauna with a maximum capacity for twelve people. The saunas are typical in this region, and guests will be able to enjoy this traditional activity while they relax in the heat of the sauna and the coolness of the water. Visiting a sauna is a must after a long day skiing.

Activities.

Guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities during the summer and winter months. During the summer months guests will be able to kayak, explore the region by bicycle, trek along the trails and participate in organized nature walks. During the winter months guests can take long walks in the mountains, fish in the frozen lake, practice skijoring, go mushing and ride in a real sled. Guests can go horse riding all year round. Visitors can visit the nearby town of Harads, which is located a short walk away. Those who want to learn more about the Sami culture can visit the Gorgim lake.

Location.
