Original Hotels

The Donqinn Inn Hotel is located in Madison, Wisconsin, in the United States. This inn has themed suites with antique jacuzzis and a traditional restaurant.

Rooms.

The hotels has several standard double rooms, each one with its own private bathroom, and several themed suites with large bathtubs. The suites vary in décor and each suite is dedicated to a place.

There are 25 themed suites. Each suite has a double room with a double bed, a television and a private bathroom. Some of the suites are duplex suite, spread on two floors. There is a jacuzzi in the bathroom.

There are standard rooms with two queensize beds and standard rooms with a kingsize bed. Standard rooms have beds suitable for children.

The Caesar’s Court are a set of suites with Ancient Roman decorations, jacuzzis and marble columns. The Casino Royale Suite is a casino hall.

The Jungle Safari room is decorated in shades of green and has a queensize bed, a jacuzzi and jungle decorations. The Sherwood Forest room is Robin Hood’s suite, with a fourposter  kingsize bed.

The Cave is a cavernous room with a decagonal bed and a large jacuzzi. Cupid’s Corner is a suite with a heart shaped bed, red and pink decorations and a black marble jacuzzi.

The Geisha Garden Suite has lacquered, oriental style furniture, Japanese paintings and a jacuzzi next to a Zen garden. The Indian Summer suite has a bed inside a wigwam, several Native American murals and a jacuzzi covered in colourful mosaics.

In the Northern Lights Suite the bed has a water mattress that is located inside an igloo, and the suite is decorated in white. Tranquillity Base is a space suite where the bed is a replica of the Gemini space capsule and the jacuzzi is a lunar crater.

The Up, Up and Away Suite is a hot air balloon with a bed inside the basket and a jacuzzi in the shape of a waterfall. The Arabian Nights room is decorated in an oriental style, with a thin, silky tent in the middle of the room, a round bed and a marble jacuzzi.

Some of the rooms are located in the old section of the house, and that is where the first themed suites were built. These suites have antique copper bathtubs and jacuzzis.

Don’s Den is a rustic suite with a queensize bed, an electrical heater and a large copper and ceramic bathtub. The Float is a Viking suite, with a bed in the shape of a Viking boat and a large jacuzzi.

Maggie’s Place is a pink suite with a kingsize bed and a red jacuzzi. The Medieval suite has a large poster bed and an antique bathtub.

Paradise Cove is a tropical suite with a kingsize bed, light wooden furniture and a large bathtub with a shower. Shotgun’s theme is hunting, and this suite has a large queensize bed, antique decorative weapons and a copper bathtub with a shower.

The Swinger suite is a large room with a hanging queensize bed and copper bathtub for two. The Blue Room is decorated in blue, with a blue bed, blue decorations and a red, copper bathtub in the blue bathroom.

Price per room per night varies. Most Standard rooms cost around 53€ per night, and the themed suites cost between 83 and 133€ per room per night.

One of the hotel’s main attractions is the Boeing C97 that is located on the hotel grounds. Visitors will be able to explore the inside of this ancient plane.

Restaurant.

Next to the hotel guests will find the Sam and Maddie Restaurant and Lounge. Here guests will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is connected to the hotel by an underground tunnel. The large dining room has a fireplace and the menu is known for its variety of regional products, fresh hamburgers and grilled meat.

The hotel has a large heated swimming pool with views towards the hills. Next to the swimming pool there is a large jacuzzi for eight people. Public tours are organized around the hotel’s themed suites. These tours show the public the hotel’s designer suites and the Boeing.

Events.

Guests will be able to celebrate events of up to 60 people at the hotel’s restaurant. The hotel can organize conferences, dinners and other events.

Location.

The hotel is located in the city of Madison, in the state of Wisconsin. Guests can enjoy walks to the top of nearby hills and visit nearby towns and cities.

Some of the region’s most visited attractions are located next to the hotel. Guests will be able to visit many ancient houses, caves and Governor Dodge State Park. A short distance away from the hotel is the Taliesin Studio of Frank Lloyd Webber and many golf courses.

The Cocomama hotel is located in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. The building used to be one of the city’s brothels and has now been transformed into a hostel with many rooms.

Rooms.

This hotel has several hotel rooms and several shared hostel rooms. There are four private rooms at the hotel, and each room has a double bed and a private bathroom.

There are several hostel rooms with four beds each, a room with two beds and a larger room with six beds. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower.

The rooms are decorated with designer pieces of art that represent the country’s regions. One of the rooms has a Warholesque portrait of the Queen of The Netherlands. Another room has beds covered in white and blue Delftware patterned covers, and these white and blue patterns representing the countryside are very typical in the region of Delft.

The four private double rooms have their own bathrooms. Each room has a safe, a double bed covered with colourful covers, coffee and tea making machines and themed decorations. The Tulips room is a twin room dedicated to these very typical local flowers. The Forest rooms is a colourful green room with replicas of deer heads. The Royal room has several paintings of the Queen. The Cow and Milk room is decorated with a countryside design and has murals of cows.

The two bed hostel room can be rented by bed and by room. This room has a bunkbed and is decorated in Delftware, with decorative Delftware plates on the walls, a private bathroom and a locker the size of a large backpack for each guest.

There are several themes in the four bed hostel rooms. One of the rooms is dedicated to the Red Light district. Another room is the Windmill room, decorated with cuckoo clocks in the shape of traditional windmills. The Water room has blue decorations and several murals of canals. Bikes and Traffic has several bicycles and a carpet that has a city map. Cheese is a yellow room with cheese holes. There is another blue and white Delftware room. Each one of these rooms has a locker for each guest and a private bathroom.

The hostel has a six bed room. The room’s theme is the city’s Red Light District. The room is covered in gold.framed ancient posters offering escort services, leopard-print cushions and red velvety curtains. The room has its own bathroom and a locker for each guest.

Price is around 21€ per bed in a room with six beds. Each bed in a four bed bedroom costs 29€ per person per night. Price per bed in a double room in the hostel is 39€ per night. The hotel’s double room costs 39€ per person per night.

This hotel was one of the first hostels to offer hotel rooms in the city. Guests will be able to mingle in the common rooms, and there is WiFi connection in the hotel.

The hostel has a large kitchen where guests will be able to cook. There is a fridge with a freezer where guests can keep their products, and the kitchen has a selection of natural spices.

Events.

The hostel organizes many activities for guests. There is a hall with a large television screen for movies and the hostel organizes themed afternoons. There is a computer hall that has access to Internet.

There is WiFi connection at the hotel and hostel. Joop, the hotel’s cat, lives in the common room. The common room is filled with sofas, many board games and screens. Guests will be able to participate in tours and trips organized by the hostel.

Location.

The hotel is located in the center of Amsterdam. There are many ancient bridges, historical canals and many museums nearby.

The ancient building used to be the Yab Yum brothel. After that the house was transformed into a mansion of a porn actor. The actor rebuilt part of the house, and some of the decorations remain the same, ranging from chandeliers hanging from the ceilings to the large windows. The hotel has large garden with a patio for guests.

A short walk away from the hotel visitors will find the city’s Red Light District. The Royal Palace and the centric Dom square are located nearby. The hotel organizes tours around the city’s main landmarks and offers a bike rental service for guests who want to explore the city by bike. The hotel can point guests towards bars, cafés and restaurants located in the area. The hotel is known for its centric location, next to various museums. Guests will be able to buy fresh ingredients at one of the markets located steps away from the hotel. There is a tram that connects the hotel to two of the city’s main streets, Leidsplein and Rembrandtplein.

The Dutch House is located in Galle, near Colombo, in Sri Lanka. The hotel is an ancient Dutch mansion that has suites with views towards a croquet field and several gardens.

Rooms.

This secluded hotel has four double rooms. Each room has a large double wood covered in mosquito netting, a bathroom and decorations that follow a set theme.

Each one of the four suites is decorated with colonial era antiques, and the four poster beds are covered with silk covers. Each room has access to thee suite private living room, which has tables, sofas and views towards the croquet courts, the Galle Fortress and the hotel’s gardens.

Each bathroom has a separate shower and a claw-foot, colonial style bathtub. The bathrooms are decorated in sandy colours.

The Ball Room room is a large suite. The suite has a terrace and a private patio where guests will be able to relax. This suite is used for photshoots and ads, and is known for its antique decorations, bulky wooden carved furniture and red woods.

The VOC suite is dedicated to the Dutch Oriental Indies Company, which used to be one of the main trade companies during the colonial era. This suite is decorated in light colours and has views towards the patio, and the croquet fields can be seen from the terrace.

The Blue Room is decorated in dark blue hues and furniture covered in blue. The four poster bed has silk blue curtains. The room is decorated with Dutch antiques and the living room has views towards the croquet field.

The Yellow Room is a yellow suite decorated with large lamps and wooden furniture. The suite has a double room and a living room which has access to a large terrace. The four poster bed has silk curtains and Dutch colonial furniture.

There are many pieces of art and sculptures that decorate the hotel’s halls and rooms. Guests will be able to walk around the mansion, filled with antiques.

Restaurant.

The hotel offers a late breakfast. Visitors will be able to enjoy a traditional English breakfast on their terraces, in the hotel’s garden and in the patio. Eggs, toast, scones with cream and jam, fruit juice and tea are offered at breakfast.

Lunch is served in the hotel’s gardens, next to the swimming pool and in the rooms. Dinner is served at the hotel next door, the Sun House, known for its dinners made using local ingredients, which change every afternoon.

The hotel has an English-style tropical garden where guests will be able to enjoy walks. There is a croquet pitch which are used for croquet matches. There is an infinity pool and a deck with loungers.

Events.

Croquet is one of the most played sports in the region of Ceylon. The croquet pitch can be used for large events.

Location.

The hotel is located on a hill in the center of Galle, on the southern coast of the island. Guests will be able to walk along the beaches and visit the historical town.

The personnel of the hotel has organize guided visits around Galle and other nearby towns. The hotel is located a short distance away from Galle Fortress. Guests will be able to explore the fortress and the city’s narrow streets. The hotel offers a guided trip in a vintage car around the region.

A short distance away from the city guests will find many ancient tea plantations, Buddhist temples and several nature reserves. Guests can relax on the beaches of the Indian Ocean. The city can be explored during a trip in a tuk tuk, which can be rented at the hotel.

The Kulala Desert Lodge is a lodge located near Sosussvlei, in the Namibian desert. This lodge has several wooden cabins that were built and adapted to the conditions of the desert.

Rooms.

This lodge has 23 traditional kulala houses designed to be adapted to the conditions of the desert. Each house has several rooms, and each room has beds, a bathroom with a shower and a terrace.

Eleven of the kulalas have two twin beds. Two kulalas were transformed into houses with a double room and a double bed each. Another tow kulalas are family rooms that can accommodate up to four guests. There are other accommodation options at the rondavels, round houses built in the traditional African way, that are used for tourist guides.

Guests who stay at the kulalas will be able to see how local live in these traditional houses. The mud houses are covered with canvas and straw roofs, and are on an elevated platform. Price varies between 146 and 339€ per night.

The rooms at this lodge are decorated using traditional designs. The rooms have stone floors and decorations coloured in desert colours. The are wicker chairs and polished wooden furniture. Each room has a bed and a lounge area with thick cushions under the straw roof. Here guests will be able to lay down and enjoy the stars.

Restaurant.

The lodge’s main building has a bar, a dining hall and a lounge with a terrace. Guests will be able to enjoy traditional local dishes and fresh products grown in the region.

The hotel’s lounge has a large terrace where guests will be able to enjoy lunch and dinner. The terrace has views towards the lodge’s natural pond, a waterhole that attracts many animals from the nearby dunes.

The hotel has a partially covered pool. The pool has views towards the red peaks of the nearby dunes and the orange desert.

In the afternoons guests can relax by the fireplace in the dining hall, next to the main lounge. The dining hall is decorated with wood and bricks and has slate floors. The armchairs and sofas are made of wood and covered in leather.

There is a large natural pond on the hotel grounds that attracts many local animals. Guests will be able to see ostrich birds, jackals, springboks and oryx gazelles. There are many birds and geckos on the hotel’s territory.

Events.

There are no conference halls at this hotel. The hotel can organize events and trips to the dunes and around the region for groups of guests and teams.

Most trips start at dawn, when visitors will be able to enjoy views towards the red, glowing dunes and dried our river basin. When the waterhole and the river are overflowing, they become a large azure lake that reflects the dunes. Some other activities are horse riding trips, trips in quads and ecological trips around the Kulala Reservation, located nearby.

Location.

The lodge is located in the Namib Naukaluft Park, which is part of the Kulala Reservation. The lodge has access to and views towards the Sossusvlei dunes, one of the highest dunes in the region.

Guests will be able to walk across the dunes, which are located close to the hotel. Guided tours are offered around the natural parks and the region.

Visitors will be able to enjoy many activities in the region. There are trips in four by fours around the region and the Deadvlei and Sossusvlei dunes. Guests will be able to participate in group tours around the desert. One of the most typical safaris is the night safari. There are trips by hot air balloon that offer guests views over the lodge and the dunes. A glass of champagne is offered after landing.
