Original Hotels

The Turbine Hotel is located on the Thesen Islands in South Africa. The hotel is an industrial building that used to house a large turbine, and the building has now been transformed into a hotel with large windows.

Rooms.

The ancient turbine building is now a large hotel. Each room is a double room with a private bathroom and a lounge area with views towards the sea.

The hotel has 17 suites, six Luxury Suites, a Honeymoon Suite and an apartment. The apartment is larger than the suites and has several rooms, bathrooms and a kitchen. Each suite is a designer suite with pieces of art done by locals decorating the rooms. The suites have been adapted to the structure of the hall where the turbine was located.

Each suite has a double bed and a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. The rooms have a flat screen television set with DVD’s, tea and coffee making machines and a minibar. The Luxury Suites are larger and have a lounge area with bar stools and a sofa bed.

The Honeymoon Suite has a large bathroom with a claw foot bathtub and a double shower. The Water Club Apartment is the hotel’s apartment, and it has several rooms with a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room. Price is between 87 and 139€ per person per night.

Restaurant.

The hotel has two restaurants. The Tapas Bar restaurant is known for its selection of traditionally Spanish appetizers, and the Island Café offers local food and cocktails.

There are three bars on the hotel’s territory. One of the bars has access to the terrace, from where the canal and the artificial islands can be seen. Guests will be able to enjoy dinners at the Turbine Water Club, where fresh oysters and champagne are served.

The hotel has a large designer swimming pool that is known for its views towards the canal. There are several hammocks and loungers next to the swimming pool, and guests will be able to enjoy cocktails by the pool. The Amani Spa is located next to the pool, where guests will be able to enjoy massages and other relaxing treatments.

The hotel is located inside an ancient industrial building where the turbine was located. The turbine is now part of the structure, and guests can see parts of the mechanism that used to provide the city with energy.

Events.

The hotel has two conference halls. Each conference hall can seat around forty people. The Boiler room is located where the boiler room used to be, and still has the same layout. There is Internet access in most of the hotel.

The hotel can organize several activities for guests. Guests can rent bicycles and kayaks in order to explore the region, and pontoon tours are offered around the bay.

Location.

The hotel is located inside a turbine building on the coast of Knysna. The hotel has views towards the nearby canal and guests will be able to explore the nearby Thesen islands.

The ancient turbine has been restored and is the hotel’s main attraction. The hotel is located on top of a lagoon and guests will be able to enjoy views towards the lagoon and the islands from their rooms. The city is part of the Garden Route, a route that covers some of the country’s most famous gardens.

Guests will be able to enjoy many activities in the region, ranging from kayak tours around the lagoon to water sports. The Thesen Islands are located in the Knysna Lagoon. The ancient mansion has been transformed into a hotel with several suites, and each suite has a large double bed made of iron and a bathroom with a bathtub. Each suite has antique furniture and decorations.

The Royal Suite is located in the most ancient part of the mansion. There is a large kingsize deluxe bed, a bathroom with heated floors, a bathtub, a shower and a living room that leads to the dining room. The dining room is decorated with  Persian rugs and has views towards the valley. This suite has a chimney, a tea and coffee making machine and a television set. Price is around 175€ per night.

The Victorian Suite has vaulted ceilings. The suite has a large deluxe kingsize bed and a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. There are views towards the hotel’s garden and St. John river. The living room has a chaise longue, a Persian rug and a chimney. The suite can be transformed into a private dining hall where guests can celebrate events. Price is around 175€ per night.

The Regency Suite has a large queensize bed. The suite has its own electric fireplace, a desk and views towards the river. The bathroom has a large bathtub and a shower. Guests have their own tea and coffee making machines in their suites. Price is around 136€ per night.

The Empire Suite has a large queensize bed. The electric fireplace is remote controlled. The television set is located inside a large wardrobe carved from wood. The suite has a tea and coffee making machine and WiFi, and the bathroom has a bathtub and a shower. Price is around 91€ per night.

The Edinburgh Suite is located in the remodelled part of the mansion. The suite is decorated in shades of gold and has furniture covered in leopard print furs and a zebra carpet. There is a kingsize bed next to  the table, which has views towards the river, and a bathroom with a shower. Price is around 129€ per night.

The Glamis room is dedicated to the Queen Mother. The room is decorated with flowery patterns and English gardens. There is an aptly named queensize bed, vintage furniture and a bathroom with a bathtub for two and a shower. This room has a machine for making tea and coffee, Internet access and a television set. Price is around 106€ per night.

The Windsor room is a room with a queensize bed. It is decorated in peachy colours and shades of green, and has large windows with views towards the hotel’s garden. There are coffee and tea making machines, a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. Price is 106€ per night.

The Buckingham room can be connected to the Windsor room to create a family suite. This room has a queensize bed, a vintage desk and chair and a bathroom with bathtub and shower. Price is 91€ per night.

The Balmoral suite is a very Scottish suite, with red and green tartan decorations. There are hardwood floors and a carved rocking chair next to the fireplace. There are several ancient trunks at the foot of the kingsize bed. The bathroom has a jacuzzi and a shower. Price is 129€ per night.

The Regal room is a colourful room. This family room has a double bed and a loft with a bunk bed. The bathroom has a bathtub. This room has its own private patio and access to the hotel’s garden and pool. Price is 137€ per night.

The Renaissance room is another family room. There is a double bed on one floor and a bunk bed on another floor, and the bathroom has a bathtub. This room is decorated in many colours and has views towards the garden. Price is around 136€ per night.

This hotel used to be an ancient mansion. The rooms conserve an antique style.

Restaurant.

The hotel’s restaurant is located on the ground floor. Guests will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant, which has a cocktail menu available for guests.

Guests can enjoy dinners on the terrace, which has views towards the river. The restaurant has a lounge with leather armchairs where guests will be able to enjoy a variety of local whiskeys.

There is a spa on one of the hotel’s floors. Guests will be able to relax in the jacuzzis, in the massage rooms and at the pool.

Events.

The Victorian Suite can be transformed into a conference room. This suite can be rented for private dinners and other events.

The hotel is located on top of a hill in Perth Andover, in New Brunswick. The hotel has views towards the St John river and large territory where guests will be able to enjoy walks.

This hotel is located a short distance away from Frederickton. Guests will be able to enjoy many of the activities this region has to offer, ranging from hiking to visiting nearby lakes and towns. Guests can walk along the banks of the nearby St John river. There are several hiking trails near the hotel.

The Straits Collection Hotel is located in Penang, in Malaysia. This hotel is located in an ancient residence decorated in a traditional style, with large wooden bathtubs and colourful decorations.

The hotel has four ancient houses located on Armenia Street. Each one of the houses has several rooms, a bathroom and a large living room.

The building is one of the many ancient colonial style houses located in the neighbourhood. There are wooden doors and floors, and the rooms are decorated in many colours. There are Chinese antiques in the rooms. The suites has flat screen television sets and mosquito repellents. The bathrooms have cascade showers.

The first suite is House 89, which has two double rooms, each one with its own bathrooms. The first room is a loft with a kingsize bed and the second room is located on the ground floor and has three individual beds. There is a television set in the living room area, next to the fridge and the tea and coffee making machines.

The 91 suite is a duplex suite. The ground floor has a living room area with a large bathroom with a wooden bathtub, two showers and access to the patio. The top floor has two rooms, one with a queensize bed and one with two twin beds, and next to them is another bathroom.

House 93 is a house of two floors. The living room, which has access to the courtyard and the antique wooden bathtub, is located on the ground floor. The top floor has a double room with a queensize bed, a sofa bed and a desk. The bathroom is located near the courtyard.

House 95 is a duplex suite. There is a room with a queensize bed, a room with two twin beds, a living room with a kitchen area and a bathroom that has access to the suite’s own courtyard.

The hotel has an oriental décor with colonial antiques and an industrial design. Each room has traditional local pieces of art. Price is around 120€ per room per night.

Restaurant.

The Little Kopi café is located in one of the hotel’s buildings, and is known for its variety of traditional dishes. The top floor of the café is now part of an art gallery.

The café offers a variety of fresh traditional pastries. The nearby restaurant, the Café y Bar Kopi C Espresso, belongs to the hotel and offers a menu of regional delicacies.

The proceeds from the art gallery are sent to a nearby animal shelter. The gallery has an area dedicated to local artists.

Events.

The hotel can organize a shuttle service to and from the airport. Guided trips around the city can be organized by the hotel.

This hotel is located on Penang street, one of the first streets to be built in this ancient districts. The street has many historical houses built in a traditional Chinese style, and four of these houses have been transformed into duplex suites. The other houses are art galleries, restaurants and shops.

Location.

The hotel is located in the Georgetown neighbourhood in Penang. The Armenia street has three large ancient buildings that were built in a colonial style. These three buildings have now been transformed into cafés, art galleries, restaurants and shops. Guests will be able to walk around the neighbourhood and visit nearby museums and temples.

The Armenia housing complex is filled with art galleries that visitors will be able to explore. The China House is one of the restaurants in the area that serves traditional Chinese food, and tea ceremonies can be enjoyed in one of the nearby tea houses. There are several restaurants, from the Edelweiss restaurant that specializes in centroeuropean food to Amélie’s Café, where pasta and coffee are served.

The nearby galleries are Straits Studio, where many pieces by local artists are exhibited, China House known for its craft-shops and Seni Mutiara, dedicated to temporary exhibitions. Guests will be able to enjoy the city’s art scene.

House of Waine is a hotel located in Nairobi, Kenya. This ancient mansion has been transformed into a lodge with rooms dedicated to one of the country’s regions and decorated with wooden furniture.

Rooms.

The hotel has eleven double rooms. Each room has a large double bed and a bathroom with a shower, and the decorations vary in each room.

Each room is dedicated to an aspect of the local culture. Nine of the rooms can be transformed into individual rooms, double rooms with one bed and double rooms with two beds. Each room has a large marble bathroom with a window. The bathrooms have a bathtub and a shower, and two of the rooms have only a bathtub.

Makan is a room dedicated to the typical red chillis found in the region and is decorated in shades of red. This room can be connected to the Kanini room, a room decorated in lighter shades, to create a large family room.

The Safari room is a room that has decorations similar to a lodge and a large traveller’s trunk next to the bed. The room next to it is Ziwa, a blue room that represents a lake.

Malaika is a large suite with a double bed and a lounge area decorated in black. Tembo is a grey room that evokes one of the region’s animals, the elephant.

Manyatta is decorated with colours and material typical of the Maasai Mara tribe, black and red. Bustani is a green room that has views towards the hotel’s garden.

The Pwani room is a room decorated in the style of traditional seaside houses, with wicker chairs and wood furniture. The Sahara room has a large carpet the colour of the desert, two beds and a table. The Victoria room has an iron bed, a bathroom with a claw foot bathtub and a fireplace.

Each room has a safe, tea and coffee machines and a television set. Fresh milk and freshly grounded coffee is delivered to each room before breakfast. There is a selection of pastries served at breakfast. Price is between 157 and 217€ per night.

Restaurant.

The hotel’s restaurant has views towards the garden. Guests will be able to enjoy traditional food made using local ingredients and ecological products.

Guests will be able to try traditional dishes from several of the country’s regions. Guests can have their lunches and dinners at several places around the hotel’s territory, in the garden, next to the swimming pool and at two bars. The Main Bar is the hotel’s most visited bar, and the Pool Bar is located next to the swimming pool.

The hotel has its own heated pool. Guests will be able to relax in the pool and enjoy a cocktail at the bar.

Events.

There are two conference halls at the hotel. These halls can be used for conferences and other types of private events.

The hotel is located close to the city of Nairobi. This ancient mansion has gardens where guests will be able to enjoy walks.

Guests can explore the city. The hotel can organize safaris and tours around the regions, and guests can visit the nearby natural parks.

Guided tours around the neighbourhood of Karen, where the hotel is located, are available for guests who stay at the hotel. The tours visit the Matbronze Art Gallery. The nearby streets are filled with shops, stalls selling traditional Kazuri trinkets and craft shops selling hand made pottery.

The Giraffe Center is located a short distance away from the hotel, a place where guests can feed the giraffes and walk around the park. The Daphne Sheldrick Sanctuary is located nearby, and there are many elephants and rhinoceros on the territory of the sanctuary. The Nairobi National Park is located next to the city.

The Spirit of the Knights Hotel is located on the Island of Rodhes, in Greece. This boutique hotel has suites dedicated to the Templar knights and Ottoman suites with views towards a stone swimming pool.

Rooms.

The suites at the hotel are double suites with a bathroom. Each suite has its own theme dedicated to archaeology, the Templars and the Ottoman Empire, and is decorated with antique furniture.

The rooms are decorated with ancient pieces of art that we brought from  Greece, Morocco, Persia, Turkey and the Middle East. There are hand woven carpets and kilims on the floors. The furniture is made of wood and was carved by hand.

The Knights Chamber is a room that was built during the crusades. This room has marble floors and high ceilings. There is a large kingsize bed. The bathroom has a marble sink, a bathtub carved by hand and a shower.

The Ottoman suite is part of a building that was built during the Crusades. The suite has a kingsize bed, a marble bathroom and a lounge area. The ceilings are high and there is a Turkish style chimney in the center of the room.

The Crusaders’ Suite is dedicated to the Crusaders. This room has the same ceilings that the first building had, and the windows are decorated with stained glass and ottoman patterns. There is a kingsize bed and a bathroom with a marble bathtub and shower, and the loft has been transformed into the living room area.

The Rodos Suite has a room with a kingsize bed, a bathroom and a separate living room area. The main room has views towards the patio and the Palacio of the Great Masters, and the living room has windows decorated with stained glass.

The Gran Master suite has windows covered by traditional Turkish style shades made from wood. There is a large kingsize bed, a bathroom and a living room with views towards the palace.

The Pasha suite is a suite decorated with furniture that was assembled during the Ottoman Empire. The ceiling of the lounge is known for its mural and the room has a large kingsize bed. The bathroom has a marble bathtub with a shower. Each suite has a private hammam where guests will be able to relax.

Restaurant.

The hotel has a bar. Guests will be able to enjoy lunch, dinner and cocktails at the bar, which has views towards the patio of the hotel.

There is a large breakfast hall at the hotel. During breakfast guests have a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and juice.

Next to the reception is the lounge. There is a library, an interior patio and an exterior patios decorated with fountains. The garden has a jacuzzi.

This hotel was built using recyclable material. There are solar panels that are used to heat the water for showers, and the floors are made of wood, marble and stone. The hotel’s radiators are made of marble. The carpets were woven using natural materials and there are hypoallergenic pillows. Bath amenities and cleaning products are made from non allergenic ingredients. The lamps around the hotel are designer lamps that were made by hand.

Yoga classes are organized at the hotel. The hotel offers several trips and excursions to nearby villages.

Events.

There is Internet access at the hotel and next to the lobby visitors will find a business center. Conferences and events can be organized at the hotel.

Guests who stay at the hotel can participate in yoga classes. The hotel offers a variety of massages and skin treatments for guests.

Location.

The hotel is located close to the city center of Rhodes. The ancient building was built by knights during the crusades, and was later partially restores and rebuilt during the Ottoman Empire.

Guests will be able to explore the ancient medieval town. A short distance away is the Souleiman Mosque and the Grand Palace. Guests who want to explore the island and join one of the many guided tours that the hotel organizes. There are many beaches near the hotel for guests to enjoy.

The Hix Island House Hotel is located on the island of Puerto Rico. The concrete houses have lofts with views towards a butterfly reserve.

Rooms.

The rooms were built using concrete and are decorated with dark furniture and colourful designs. Each room has a bed, a bathroom and views towards the sea, the butterfly reserve and the rest of the garden.

Casa Solaris has six lofts. The first and second lofts are located on the top floor of the house. Each loft has a kingsize bed that can be transformed into two individual beds, an exterior shower, a kitchen with a patio and views towards the ocean. The third and fourth lofts are located on the second floor of the house. These two lofts have a double room each, a large bathroom with an outdoor shower, a patio with a lounge area and views towards the ocean. The fifth and sixth lofts are located on the ground floor and are the largest lofts at the hotel. Each loft has two double rooms, and each double room is quipped with a bathroom and an outdoor shower. The Casita is a villa located next to La Casona. This villa is located on a hill and has a room with kingsize bed, a bathroom with an exterior shower from where guests can enjoy ocean views, a kitchen and a patio with a dining room area.

La Casa Redonda is a circle shaped villa with several lofts. Lofts 1 and 2 have a kingsize bed, a bathroom with a double sink and an exterior shower, a kitchen with a dining table and a patio with a hammock and a lounge. Lofts 3 and 4 are located on the second floor and have a kingsize bed, a bathroom with an exterior shower, a kitchen and a patio. Lofts 1 and 3 have ocean views and lofts 2 and 4 have views towards the patio.

La Casa Triangular is a triangular building located on the hotel’s territory. The Matisse Loft is located on the top floor and has a queensize bed, a bathroom, a kitchen, a patio with a lounge and ocean views and a staircase that leads to the rooftop of the building. The Adobe Loft is the loft located on the ground floor and has a kingsize bed, a bathroom with an exterior shower, a patio with a lounge and garden views. The Studio Loft is located on the first floor and has a kingsize bed, a bathroom with an exterior shower, a kitchen and a lounge that leads to the patio, which has ocean views.

La Casa Rectangular has several lofts, and each loft has a kingsize bed, a bathroom with an exterior annex where the shower is located, a kitchen and a patio with a dining room. Lofts 5 and 6 are located on the top floor and have ocean views. Lofts 7 and 8 are one floor below and have garden views. The Gallery Loft is located on the ground floor and consists of a large suite adapted to guests on wheelchairs, with a kingsize bed that can be transformed into two twin beds, a bathroom with a shower and a kitchen that leads to a private patio.

Price varies between 100 and 538€ per nights. Price includes cotton clothes for each guests. There is WiFi next to the reception areas.

Restaurant.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant. Each loft has its own kitchen that comes equipped with cereal, a selection of tea and coffee, fresh fruit, eggs, milk, jams, bread and juices.

The houses and lofts are located on a set of hills. The hotel’s swimming pool is a designer pool where guests will be able to relax while enjoying views towards the sea. The pool has solar panels for heating. The pool does not use any chemical products and is disinfected using copper and silver ions.

Guests are provided with hammocks for the beach. Guests have snorkel equipment at their disposal.

Events.

La Casona is located on top of a hill on the hotel’s territory. This large building can be used for events of up to 80 people. The villa has several halls that can accommodate private dinners and conference halls, and the hotel can provide a catering service for those guests who do not want to use the kitchen. La Casona has views towards Isla Vieques, the Bioluminescent Bay and the Caribbean.

Location.

The hotel is located on the island of Vieques, to the south of Puerto Rico. Guests will be able to enjoy long walks along the shore of the Caribbean and participate in trips to nearby natural parks.

This hotel is an ecological place that tries to increase the awareness of recycling. The houses and villas use solar energy and water cisterns. The water in the shower is heated using the solar panels. The water that is not used for the showers and in the toilet is drained and is later used to water the plants.

The beaches located closest to the hotel are Sun Bay Beach and the beaches of Refugio de Peces and Vida Silvestre on the east coast of the island. Guests will be able to rent cars in order to explore the beaches, restaurants and nearby shops.

The Boutique Hotel View is a hotel located in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. The hotel is a traditional house with a narrow colourful pastel facade and views towards the canal.

Rooms.

The hotel has fourteen double rooms, each room with colourful decorations and its own bathroom. Each room has a double bed with a leather headboard, colourful leather puffs and grey and pink bed covers.

The hotel has six double deluxe rooms and eight suites. The floors are made of dark wood and there are ancient chandeliers in the rooms. Each bathroom has a shower. The rooms and suites are decorated in greys and pinks, and each room has a flat screen television set and WiFi.

Three of the double suites and two of the suites have views towards the canals. Each room and suite is hypoallergenic and has a double bed, a flat screen television set and a bathroom. The deluxe rooms have safes, a decorative fireplace, a desk with a chair and a coffee and tea making machine.

There are several standard double rooms, half of which have views towards the hotel garden and the other half have views towards the canal. Part of the larger deluxe rooms have views towards the street and the nearby gardens, and others have views towards the canal. Price is around 79€ per night.

There is a library, a café bar decorated with white leather armchairs and sofa and a television hall on the hotel’s ground floor. The rooms and the lobby have access to WiFi.

Events.

The hotel offers guests a fax service and there is a business center. In the lobby guests will find a guide to the city’s main attractions and several tours around the region. Bicycles can be rented to explore the city, and the hotels offers a transport service to the airport.

The hotel is located in a traditional Amsterdam house, on the banks of one of the city’s canals. The pastel coloured house is decorated with antique street lights and has large windows with views towards the bridge.

The Leidseplein, one of the city’s main avenues filled with bars, restaurants and shops, is located near the hotel. Guests can enjoy walks around the area, located in the center of the city. There are maps for guests in the lobby.

The museum district is located a short walk away from the hotel. Here guests will find the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, next to many other museums and galleries. The Vondelpark, a large park where guests will be able to ride their bikes and have picnics, is located next to the museums.

The Discovery Shores Boracay Hotel is located in Boracay, in the Philippines. The hotel has several rooms and villas with views towards a swimming pool with a waterfall.

Rooms.

The hotel has 87 double rooms and several villas. Each room has a double bed and the bathrooms have large bathtubs and showers with views towards the gardens.

There are several types of rooms and villas at the hotel. The villas have a traditional style and views towards the sea. Each room and each villa has a floor to ceiling window with views towards the hotel’s tropical gardens. Part of the suites have ocean views from the exterior jacuzzi. The Two Bedroom Suites are suites that can accommodate up to six people. There are two double rooms with their own bathroom with a shower each, a living room with an L shaped sofa that can be transformed into a sofa bed, a dining room with a bar area and a balcony with views.

The Two Bedroom Premier Suites are duplex suites. One of the double rooms is located on the ground floor, and the other one is located on the top floor. The suite has a large private terrace with a jacuzzi on the ground floor.

Restaurant.

The hotel has several restaurants where traditional food from the Philippines is served. Guests will be able to try local dishes, fresh seafood and a selection of wines.

The bar has a variety of cocktails, margaritas and mojitos. Near the hotel guests will find the D’Mall, where there are more bars and restaurants.

At the Indigo restaurant guests will find local Philippine dishes served with wine. Platitos is another restaurant located on the hotel’s territory and is known for its tapas and cocktails. The Sand restaurant has a selection of continental breakfasts, lunches and buffet dinners that guests will be able to enjoy by the sea. The plates used at the restaurants were made by locals. Guests will be able to enjoy views towards the sunset from the hammocks located next to the restaurants, where cocktails are served.

The hotel spa is located next to the swimming pool. The spa organizes yoga classes and offers massages with natural, organic ingredients.

The hotel has two large swimming pools and a gym. The pool has views towards the sea and a fourteen meter waterfall that flows to the pool located in the spa. The hotel has several halls, a room filled with local boardgames and a doctor’s practice.

Events.

The Belize Halls can be rented for events of up to 60 guests. The Caledonia Hall and the Androz Hall are two large conference halls that can accommodate 60 guests. The Entertainment Hall can be used for events of up to 20 people.

There are several other halls where guests will be able to celebrate their conferences and events. The hotel can organize group outings. Some of the activities offered are jet ski, kayak, kite board and visits to nearby islands.

Location.

The hotel is located on the island of Boracay. Guests will be able to enjoy views towards the beach and the hotel’s tropical gardens from their roofs.

There are many white, sandy beaches for guests to explore located near the hotel. The hotel has its own private beach on the coast of the Sulu Sea. The hotel has a yacht that transports guests to and from the nearby islands.

The Kasha boutique Hotel is located in Zanzibar, near the coast of Tanzania. The hotel rooms are villas decorated with paintings of local spices and Swahili furniture.

Rooms.

The hotel has eleven villas. Each villa has a room with a kingsize bed covered in mosquito netting, a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower, a large conference hall and a living room with views towards the beach.

Each villa has its own private swimming pool and a tropical garden with views towards the beach. The rooms are decorated with Swahili style wooden furniture. Each bathroom has a cascade shower and a bathtub with views towards the sea. The bathroom amenities were made using traditional local ingredients.

The carved wood beds are four poster beds covered in mosquito netting. Each room is decorated with a handmade carpet and handwoven textiles. There is a private patio in each room, and the patios were built in a traditional Arab style, with small benches and hammocks next to the swimming pool. Price varies between 311 and 415€ per night.

Each room is dedicated to a spice that can be found on the island, which is called the Island of Spices by the locals. The eleven villas are Karafuu Clover, Mdalisini Cinnamon, Tangawizi Ginger, Vanila Vanilla, Pilipili Chile, Uzile Cumin, Zafarani Saffron, Kungumaanga Nutmeg and Giligilano Cilantro.

Each room has a minibar, coffee and tea making machines and a television set. The light rooms were built and decorated using tin, wood and local pieces of art, and have high ceilings. There is an antique trunk that was carved by local islanders in each room. Guests will be able to enjoy views towards the sea and the corral reefs from their private terraces.

Restaurant.

The hotel has a restaurant and two bars. The Sama restaurant serves regional dishes, and one of its main dishes is fresh seafood cooked with local spices in a traditional Zanzibar style.

The Waterfront Bar is located next to the hotel’s swimming pool. The Nargili Bar is located on the beach and has views towards the sea. Cocktails are served in the bars.

This hotel has a large swimming pool with views towards the sea. Guests will be able to enjoy cocktails at the bar and in the hammocks located by the pool. Traditional dhows, local fishing boats that sail the ocean, can be seen from the pool.

The hotel’s spa is located next to the beach. The spa offers a variety of massages, body and skin treatments and treatments with natural oils that can be found in the region.

There is room filled with magazines and local literature, and guests will be able to rent DVDs. Nearby is the large living room, which has a lounge with a television set where guests will be able to watch matches. There is complimentary WiFi at the hotel, and guests can rent snorkeling equipment in the lobby. The hotel sells hand woven cloth and handmade jewelry from Zanzibar.

Location.

The hotel is located on the east coast of north Zanzibar. The villas have views towards Mnemba beach and the Mnemba coral reefs in the Indian Ocean. The hotel has direct access to the Mnemba beach where guests will be able to snorkel and swim. During low tide, there is a staircase that connects the hotel to the beach, and during high tide there is a boardwalk to the beach.

The hotel offers a shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. During the trip from the airport to the hotel guests can visit the local spice farms, and one of the nearby Kidishi farm. At this farm guests will be able to see how cinnamon, clover, cumin, nutmeg and black pepper are grown. The farms have rambutan trees.

Near the hotel visitors will be able to visit the Kidichi Persian baths, which were built by the first Sultan of Zanzibar. One of the most visited places in the city are the ruins of the ancient Maruhbi Palace. The Matemwe village is a traditional fishing village. The hotel cooperates with local organizations to promote economic development and guests will be able to visit non profit organization that operate in the region.

The Donqinn Inn Hotel is located in Madison, Wisconsin, in the United States. This inn has themed suites with antique jacuzzis and a traditional restaurant.

Rooms.

The hotels has several standard double rooms, each one with its own private bathroom, and several themed suites with large bathtubs. The suites vary in décor and each suite is dedicated to a place.

There are 25 themed suites. Each suite has a double room with a double bed, a television and a private bathroom. Some of the suites are duplex suite, spread on two floors. There is a jacuzzi in the bathroom.

There are standard rooms with two queensize beds and standard rooms with a kingsize bed. Standard rooms have beds suitable for children.

The Caesar’s Court are a set of suites with Ancient Roman decorations, jacuzzis and marble columns. The Casino Royale Suite is a casino hall.

The Jungle Safari room is decorated in shades of green and has a queensize bed, a jacuzzi and jungle decorations. The Sherwood Forest room is Robin Hood’s suite, with a fourposter  kingsize bed.

The Cave is a cavernous room with a decagonal bed and a large jacuzzi. Cupid’s Corner is a suite with a heart shaped bed, red and pink decorations and a black marble jacuzzi.

The Geisha Garden Suite has lacquered, oriental style furniture, Japanese paintings and a jacuzzi next to a Zen garden. The Indian Summer suite has a bed inside a wigwam, several Native American murals and a jacuzzi covered in colourful mosaics.

In the Northern Lights Suite the bed has a water mattress that is located inside an igloo, and the suite is decorated in white. Tranquillity Base is a space suite where the bed is a replica of the Gemini space capsule and the jacuzzi is a lunar crater.

The Up, Up and Away Suite is a hot air balloon with a bed inside the basket and a jacuzzi in the shape of a waterfall. The Arabian Nights room is decorated in an oriental style, with a thin, silky tent in the middle of the room, a round bed and a marble jacuzzi.

Some of the rooms are located in the old section of the house, and that is where the first themed suites were built. These suites have antique copper bathtubs and jacuzzis.

Don’s Den is a rustic suite with a queensize bed, an electrical heater and a large copper and ceramic bathtub. The Float is a Viking suite, with a bed in the shape of a Viking boat and a large jacuzzi.

Maggie’s Place is a pink suite with a kingsize bed and a red jacuzzi. The Medieval suite has a large poster bed and an antique bathtub.

Paradise Cove is a tropical suite with a kingsize bed, light wooden furniture and a large bathtub with a shower. Shotgun’s theme is hunting, and this suite has a large queensize bed, antique decorative weapons and a copper bathtub with a shower.

The Swinger suite is a large room with a hanging queensize bed and copper bathtub for two. The Blue Room is decorated in blue, with a blue bed, blue decorations and a red, copper bathtub in the blue bathroom.

Price per room per night varies. Most Standard rooms cost around 53€ per night, and the themed suites cost between 83 and 133€ per room per night.

One of the hotel’s main attractions is the Boeing C97 that is located on the hotel grounds. Visitors will be able to explore the inside of this ancient plane.

Restaurant.

Next to the hotel guests will find the Sam and Maddie Restaurant and Lounge. Here guests will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is connected to the hotel by an underground tunnel. The large dining room has a fireplace and the menu is known for its variety of regional products, fresh hamburgers and grilled meat.

The hotel has a large heated swimming pool with views towards the hills. Next to the swimming pool there is a large jacuzzi for eight people. Public tours are organized around the hotel’s themed suites. These tours show the public the hotel’s designer suites and the Boeing.

Events.

Guests will be able to celebrate events of up to 60 people at the hotel’s restaurant. The hotel can organize conferences, dinners and other events.
